On both sides, it’s possible to get close to the famous Horseshoe Falls by simply hopping on a boat, or if you prefer to explore by foot, there are many tracks and viewpoints along the Falls that offer magnificent views. Having said that, there’s no doubt that the biggest difference between both sides are the views. On the Canadian side one will get a full panoramic vista of all three falls of the Natural Wonder. However, on the American side, one can get up close and personal with the Falls and get all the feels. On both sides you get an excellent view of the Horseshoe Falls. In terms of a general atmosphere, while the Canadian side is more touristy and offers many attractions as an extra charge, the American side is characterized by a more peaceful and tranquil vibe making it more appealing to families with children who want to enjoy the Falls by day and kick back and relax at night.
On both sides of the Niagara Falls, you can upgrade your stay and experiences at an extra charge. At the end of the day, it comes down to what the overall atmosphere you wish your trip to have and how important it is to have the full-extensive experience of the views. Apart from the jaw-dropping panoramic views, you should also consider the other experiences the area offers. Do you wish to stay on the touristy side? Or do you wish to spend your days in a less crowded area that offers a big state park?
